There seems to be some debate about which is best; wheatgrass juice or wheatgrass powder, so we headed back to the lab to ask the white coats and solve it once and for all.

The following analysis break out all of the main vitamins and minerals and compares Juice with Powder*:

A quick glance shows that the two are pretty comparable. Interestingly the powdered wheatgrass has a lot more Vitamin A, Folic Acid and Potassium and less sugars. Wheatgrass Juice nudges ahead on Vitamin E and Phosphorus but is behind on the all important Chlorophyll.

So the debate is settled and our take away is that wheatgrass will provide benefits in both forms, so choose the one you prefer.

*Based on typical serving sizes. Nutrients in 1 ounce (28.35 grams) of wheatgrass juice compared with 1/8 ounce (3.5 grams=1 sachet of Urban Wheatgrass).
